Client of AIQU is seeking an experienced Local Project Manager in Abu Dhabi to lead oil & gas automation and commissioning projects. You will plan, execute and deliver complex programs with strong technical discipline and local market knowledge, ensuring safety, schedule adherence and cost control.

The role requires 8–10 years of proven PM experience, PMP/Prince2 or equivalent certification, and a solid grasp of control systems, instrumentation and commissioning processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 8–10 years of proven project management experience in oil & gas automation and commissioning.
• PMP, Prince2 or equivalent certification; ISO 9001/ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001 familiarity.
• Arabic language proficiency; HSE management or Lead Auditor certification.

Responsabilités

• Define project scope objectives and deliverables with stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules and budgets aligned with goals.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams through all phases from design to commissioning.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors and regulators for approvals.
• Monitor performance, identify risks and implement mitigations.
• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi regulations, standards and HSE.
• Conduct regular site visits to oversee progress and safety.
• Prepare status reports, forecasts and post-project evaluations for senior management.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Local Project Manager based in Abu Dhabi to lead the planning execution and delivery of complex oil amp gas automation and commissioning projects The successful candidate will leverage deep technical expertise and local market knowledge to ensure projects are completed safely on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance

Responsibilities

• Define project scope objectives and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
• Develop detailed project plans schedules and budgets ensuring alignment with corporate goals
• Lead multidisciplinary teams through all project phases from design and procurement to installation and commissioning
• Coordinate with clients contractors vendors and regulatory authorities to manage expectations and secure approvals
• Monitor project performance metrics identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi regulations industry standards and HSE requirements
• Conduct regular site visits to oversee progress resolve technical issues and maintain safety standards
• Prepare and present project status reports financial forecasts and post-project evaluations to senior management

Preferred Qualifications

Project Management Professional PMP Prince2 or equivalent certification Master s degree in Engineering Management or related field Experience with EPC contracts and FIDIC terms Familiarity with ISO 9001 ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems Arabic language proficiency Certification in HSE management or Lead Auditor Experience with digital project collaboration platforms and advanced reporting tools
