A leading telecom provider in South Africa seeks a Logistics Manager to oversee daily logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations. The role involves managing logistics activities, optimizing processes for efficiency, and leading a team to ensure high performance. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Manage transport planning and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Optimize routes, costs, and processes for maximum efficiency.
- Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Implement process improvements and best practices.
- Monitor inventory levels across all sections of the warehouse.
- Address customer inquiries regarding deliveries and resolve shipping issues.
- Oversee warehouse activities like receiving, packing, and shipping goods.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization.
- Manage warehouse equipment and maintenance.
- Lead and develop the logistics team to ensure high performance.
