Job summary
A manufacturing company in George is seeking a Health & Safety Officer to conduct workplace inspections, maintain safety policies, and provide training. Candidates must have proven experience in a relevant field and strong knowledge of health and safety regulations. This role offers a salary of R22,000 to R24,000 per month.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Officer (preferably in a manufacturing or textile environment).
- In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify hazards.
- Maintain and update Health & Safety policies.
- Provide safety training and awareness to staff.
- Investigate incidents and recommend preventive measures.
- Liaise with management on safety matters.

- Provide safety training and awareness to staff.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near‑misses, and recommend preventive measures.
- Liaise with management and regulatory bodies on all safety matters.
