Job summary

A reputable staffing agency in South Africa is looking for a Procurement Supervisor to lead strategic sourcing and oversee capital expenditure. The role requires a minimum of 5 years experience in procurement, expertise in RFQ processes, and strong leadership skills. The successful candidate will ensure optimal inventory levels, source suppliers in compliance with regulations, and guide procurement staff. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to public service and healthcare delivery through efficient procurement practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in procurement.
  • I-procurement / RFQ expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Lead RFQ and tender processes to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods following specifications.
  • Source and evaluate alternative suppliers based on compliance.
  • Approve orders and manage system integrity.
  • Compile and present monthly procurement reports.
  • Train and support procurement staff in operations.
  • Provide procurement expertise to regional teams.
  • Foster relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Develop staff to meet performance goals.
  • Assist the Manager with strategic tasks.
