Job description

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To provide quality and safe clinical care to patients that present to the emergency centre through assessing, diagnosing, treating and disposition according to best practice standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
  • Provide quality safe clinical care in the emergency centre
  • Assist with teaching and co‑ordinating clinical development programmes in the emergency centre to improve patient care
  • Adhere to and to support the nursing staff in the application of triage in the emergency centre
  • Actively participate in company strategies e.g. PatientsFirst@Mediclinic
  • Partake in emergency centre quality improvement and quality assurance initiatives to ensure safe, quality patient care is delivered at all times
  • Maintain a minimum standard of emergency medical care knowledge and expertise at all times

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: MB BCh/MB ChB
