Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Community Development, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years in program development, youth work, or education in Western Cape.
• Proven ability to design and deliver engaging youth programs.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Experience in curriculum development and material creation.
• Ability to work with diverse groups of young people and adults.
• Passion for youth empowerment and social development.
• Knowledge of challenges facing youth in Stellenbosch.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new youth programs focusing on life skills, career readiness, and personal development.
• Implement and manage existing youth programs, ensuring they are delivered effectively and meet their objectives.
• Conduct needs assessments within the youth community of Stellenbosch to identify gaps and opportunities for new programs.
• Create engaging curriculum and workshop materials tailored to diverse age groups and backgrounds.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions for young participants.
• Build and maintain relationships with schools, community centers, and other youth-serving organizations.
• Recruit, train, and supervise program facilitators and volunteers.
• Monitor program progress, collect feedback, and evaluate outcomes to ensure program effectiveness.
• Prepare reports on program activities, achievements, and challenges for stakeholders.
• Manage program budgets and resources efficiently.
• Stay updated on best practices in youth development and relevant social trends affecting young people in the Western Cape .
