Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an energetic Program Officer focused on Youth Empowerment in Upington. This hybrid role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing programs to support and uplift young people, blending remote planning with on-site engagement.

You will collaborate with youth organizations, schools, and community leaders to create opportunities for skills development, education, and personal growth while monitoring progress and reporting impact for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth development, program management, or education.
• Strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing young people.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to engage and motivate youth.
• Experience working in a hybrid model, balancing remote tasks with on-site activities.
• A degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage youth empowerment programs.
• Develop curriculum and resources for workshops and training sessions targeting young people.
• Facilitate engaging sessions and mentor youth participants.
• Build and maintain relationships with schools, community centers, and other youth-serving organizations.
• Monitor program progress, collect feedback, and evaluate program effectiveness.
• Prepare reports on program activities, outcomes, and impact for stakeholders.
