Placements24 is seeking a passionate Youth Development Officer to empower local youth in Centurion. You will design and run programs that build life skills, leadership, and career readiness, collaborating with schools and community centers to maximize impact.

You will engage youth to uncover needs, tailor activities, and deliver engaging workshops. The role requires creativity, strong communication, and a commitment to youth empowerment in a dynamic community setting.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Youth Development, Social Sciences, Education, or related field.
• Proven experience working with youth in program development or facilitation.
• Strong understanding of youth development principles and challenges.
• Excellent group facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, coordinate, and deliver youth development programs focusing on life skills, leadership, and career guidance.
• Engage with young people to identify needs, interests, and aspirations.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions that promote personal development and resilience.
• Organize and supervise recreational and educational activities for youth groups.
• Build and maintain relationships with youth, parents, schools, and community stakeholders in Centurion.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, reporting on outcomes and impact.
