Qualifications

• Previous experience working with youth in educational, recreational, or community settings.

• Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to youth development.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and community stakeholders.
• Proficiency in basic administrative tasks and record-keeping.
• A relevant qualification or ongoing study in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or Youth Development is preferred.
• Must be able to work within Tembisa, Gauteng, and travel within the local community as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate age-appropriate workshops, activities, and mentoring sessions for youth aged 12-18.
• Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all program participants.
• Monitor participant progress and provide guidance and support to help them achieve their personal and educational goals.
• Collaborate with community partners, schools, and parents to ensure program effectiveness and reach.
• Manage program logistics, including scheduling, resource allocation, and participant registration.
• Assist in the evaluation of program outcomes and contribute to the development of new program initiatives.
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor to the youth involved in the programs.
• Report on program activities, successes, and challenges to the program manager.
