Placements24 is seeking a Youth Development Facilitator to design and deliver engaging programs for youth in Kimberley, Northern Cape. The role focuses on life skills, leadership, and personal development, creating safe and inclusive environments for young people.

Youth-focused programs will involve mentoring, activity delivery, and collaboration with schools and community stakeholders to promote positive outcomes for youth in the Kimberley area.

Competenze

• A qualification in Youth Work, Social Work, Education, Community Development, or a related field.
• Experience working directly with youth in a facilitation or mentoring role.
• Proven ability to design and deliver engaging training or workshops.
• Excellent communication and group facilitation skills.
• Passion for youth development and community engagement.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including some evenings/weekends.

About the Role

Our client, a vibrant community-based organisation focused on empowering young people, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Youth Development Facilitator to join their team in Kimberley, Northern Cape . This role is focused on designing and delivering engaging programs that foster personal growth, life skills development, and positive social engagement among youth. You will be responsible for creating a safe and inclusive environment where young people can explore their potential, build confidence, and develop essential skills for future success. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with youth, strong facilitation skills, and a creative approach to program delivery. Key Responsibilities

• Manage program logistics, including scheduling, materials, and participant registration.
• Promote participation in youth programs within the Kimberley community.
• Stay informed about current youth issues and best practices in youth development.

Requirements

• A qualification in Youth Work, Social Work, Education, Community Development, or a related field.
• Previous experience working directly with youth in a facilitation or mentoring capacity.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver engaging training or workshop content.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and group facilitation skills.
• Passion for youth development and a commitment to empowering young people.
• Creativity, energy, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, to accommodate program schedules.
• Knowledge of challenges and opportunities facing youth in the Northern Cape region.
• First Aid or CPR certification is an advantage.
• Must be able to pass relevant background checks.
