Job summary

Scania Workshop in Durban is seeking a proactive Workshop Manager to develop and run the workshop operations, maximize customer and employee satisfaction, and drive profitable growth for the Scania service business.

You will lead technicians and service staff, manage daily workflows, ensure quality standards, strengthen customer relationships, and coordinate service solutions to meet current and future needs.

Qualifications

• Qualified Diesel Technician with Trade certificate.
• 5+ years technical workshop experience, supervisory/Team Leader in a workshop environment is advantageous.
• Valid Heavy Vehicle licence (advantageous).
• SHE compliance.
• Medically fit.

Responsibilities

• Workshop management – plan and manage daily workshop operations, lead staff and coordinating with Services Salesman.
• Workshop customer relations – develop customer relationships and address issues.
• Workshop Service solution sales – promote service solutions and coordinate activities.
• Follow up workshop results – monitor costs, budget, KPI and continuous improvement.
