Job summary

Volvo Group Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd is seeking a capable Diesel Workshop Supervisor to manage workshop staff and drive efficiency. The role reports to the Branch Manager and focuses on achieving KPI targets across parts sales, workshop GP, and overall profitability.

You will lead a team, develop talent, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate with service advisors to deliver high-quality service while maintaining Volvo standards.

Qualifications

• Matric / N3.
• Five (5) years’ experience working as a Diesel Mechanical, 2 of which must be in a Team Leader/Supervisor capacity within the workshop environment.
• Supervision of people.
• Develop and train.
• Ability to effectively organize work.
• Leadership.

Responsibilities

• Achieve strategic business plan and KPI targets for parts sales, workshop GP, and profitability.
• Ensure health and safety compliance in duties.
• Drive customer satisfaction and value in all activities.
• Allocate technicians according to production plans and manage WIP.
• Coordinate regular meetings with managers to ensure profitability and efficiency.
• Oversee and develop staff in line with policy and culture.
• Supervise daily workshop activities and ensure efficient planning.
