Job summary

Dante Personnel in Benoni seeks a Workshop Supervisor for our logistics fleet. The role requires extensive heavy vehicle maintenance experience and proven leadership to run a busy workshop and manage daily operations.

You will oversee refrigerated trailer work, including Carrier and Thermo King units, plan workloads, enforce safety, and drive efficiency in workshop activities.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate from a recognised institution (essential).
• Management or supervisory qualification preferred.
• Code 14 driver’s licence advantageous.
• Experience with refrigerated trailer maintenance; Carrier and Thermo King units.
• 8+ years in heavy vehicle maintenance.
• 5+ years in Workshop Supervisor/Foreman/Manager role.
• Proven experience managing workshops in logistics, transport, or fleet environments.

Job description

• Qualified with a valid Trade Certificate from a recognised and accredited institution (essential)
• Relevant management or supervisory qualification will be advantageous
• Valid Code 14 Driver's Licence will be advantageous
• Computer literacy with experience using fleet maintenance and workshop management systems
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Workshop Supervisor, Foreman, or Workshop Manager role
• Proven experience managing workshops within the logistics, transport, or fleet environment
• Extensive experience in the maintenance of refrigerated trailers, with specific experience working on Carrier and Thermo King units, together with strong leadership, planning and operational management skills.
