Job summary

JVR Software in Gauteng is seeking a Workshop Manager to lead daily workshop operations, oversee repair, servicing and maintenance of material-handling equipment, and diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults. You will manage a team of technicians, plan jobs, monitor turnaround times, ensure tools and equipment are maintained, and maintain strong communication with customers and suppliers.

The ideal candidate has hands-on leadership, strong mechanical knowledge, and proven experience supervising

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Workshop Manager, Workshop Supervisor or similar technical management role.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to understand and troubleshoot machinery.
• Experience with mechanical repairs, servicing and maintenance.
• Hydraulic experience will be an advantage.
• Previous experience managing or supervising a team.
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A hands-on approach and the ability to work in a close-knit team.
