Job summary

Badsberg Wine Cellar in Rawsonville is seeking a dedicated Cellar Assistant to join the production team for harvest season. You will assist the Winemakers with sample preparation and the loading of bulk wine, while ensuring proper documentation and smooth cellar operations.

The role requires a willingness to learn, a valid driver’s license, good physical condition, and the ability to work flexible hours during harvest. Prior cellar experience is a strong advantage.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is the minimum requirement.
• A keen willingness to learn and grow within a cellar environment.
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport is essential.
• A passion for wine and production processes.
• Good physical condition and able to work flexible hours during harvest seasons.
• Previous cellar or harvest experience will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist Winemakers with preparation of wine samples.
• Load local and export bulk wine and complete loading documentation.
• Assist with general cellar operations, deliveries, maintenance support and wine tastings.
• Form part of Health and Safety team and support cellar operations in pressing cellar during harvest.
• Work under the supervision of the Winemaker.
