Job summary

Wine Estate in the Somerset West area is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Worker (Vineyard & Cellar) to support vineyard upkeep, cellar activities and general farm operations. You will assist with pruning, canopy management, harvesting, grape receiving and basic cellar tasks, as well as cleaning and sanitising equipment and keeping all areas tidy.

Qualifications

• Previous vineyard, cellar or agricultural experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn and assist with varied practical tasks.
• Ability to work outdoors and perform physical duties.

• Good teamwork and ability to follow instructions.
• Attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Flexibility to work additional hours during harvest.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pruning, canopy management, weeding and vineyard maintenance.
• Harvest grapes and deliver to the cellar.
• Assist with grape receiving and basic cellar tasks under supervision.
• Clean and sanitise cellar equipment, hoses, tanks and work areas.
• Move stock, materials and equipment safely.
• Keep vineyard, cellar and storage areas clean and organised.
• Report equipment faults, maintenance concerns and safety hazards.
• Follow hygiene and safety procedures.
