Job summary

Badsberg Wine Cellar in the Breedekloof wine region is seeking a Cellar Admin Coordinator who is well-organised and detail-oriented to support laboratory, quality and compliance processes.

The role covers laboratory administration, health and safety records, and general cellar support. Proficiency in MS Office and WineMS, plus fluency in English and Afrikaans, are required, with a tertiary qualification or ~2 years' wine industry experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous and/or ~2 years' experience in wine industry.
• Knowledge of quality control systems and general wine process knowledge advantageous.
• Understanding of wine cellar processes and laboratory procedures advantageous.
• Strong computer literacy (MS Office, Excel, WineMS).
• Fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans).
• Own reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Laboratory Administration: conducting and assisting with general laboratory analyses, and ordering/managing laboratory chemicals.
• ISO 22000, IPW, WIETA and Health & Safety: maintaining system records and audit support; keeping water quality and wastewater records.
• WineMS: processing and checking outgoing loads; capturing chemicals in the system; ensuring information accuracy.
• General Administration: supporting the cellar and other departments; maintaining filing systems; assisting with ad hoc duties.
