About the Role

Our client, a breathtaking coastal resort located in the scenic town of Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal , is seeking an experienced and visionary Waterfront Resort Manager. This senior leadership role is responsible for the comprehensive management of all resort operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high standards of service, and maximizing profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, particularly in a resort or hotel setting, with a proven ability to lead diverse teams, manage budgets, and implement strategic initiatives. You will be instrumental in upholding the resort's reputation for luxury and impeccable service, overseeing everything from guest relations and F&B to property maintenance and event planning. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in hotel or resort management, with at least 3 years in a General Manager or Assistant General Manager role.


• Proven track record of success in managing operations, budgets, and P&L statements in a luxury hospitality environment.


• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.


• Strong understanding of hospitality sales, marketing, and revenue management.


• Proficiency in property management systems (PMS) and other relevant hospitality software.


• A degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is highly desirable.


• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.


• Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.


• A passion for providing outstanding guest service and creating memorable experiences.
