Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12.
• Must have a valid driver’s license (Code 10/14).
• Valid PDP (Advantageous)
• Be literate and functionally numerate.
• Medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
• Possess basic knowledge of machinery.
• Excellent management and teamwork.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Be self-disciplined and able to work without supervision.
• Ability to work within the team.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices, and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites.

Responsibilities

• Driving the Water Truck and carrying out all related tasks.
• Reporting general mechanical elementary problems
• Be safety conscious.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Acknowledge that Management may allocate additional tasks when tasks cannot be completed on standard allocated job.
• Keep machine clean, safe and in good working order by completing daily pre-start checklist correctly.
• Be able to work under pressure and sometimes extended hours (including overtime and Saturdays).
• Must be able to carry out instructions given by your superior.
