Placements24 in East London, Eastern Cape, is seeking a Regional Truck Driver to cover deliveries across the region. You will operate heavy‑duty trucks, plan efficient routes, and maintain clear communication with the dispatch center to meet tight delivery schedules.

The ideal candidate has a valid Code 14 with PDP, a minimum of 3 years regional driving experience, strong knowledge of East London and surrounding routes, and a commitment to safety and reliable vehicle maintenance.

Qualifications

• Valid Code 14 driver's license with a PDP.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional truck driving experience, regional preferred.
• Good knowledge of East London and surrounding regional routes.
• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently to meet delivery targets.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive heavy-duty trucks for regional deliveries and pickups.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and protection against damage.
• Plan and execute efficient routes within the Eastern Cape region to meet delivery deadlines.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and its equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and any vehicle issues.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
