Job summary

Placements24 seeks a skilled Civil Engineer (Water & Sanitation) for a role in Tembisa, Gauteng. You will design water networks, treatment plants, and wastewater systems, driving project delivery for local communities.

You will use hydraulic modeling, prepare design and tender documents, oversee construction, and liaise with municipal authorities to ensure regulatory compliance and project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA required.
• 5+ years of post-graduate experience focusing on water and sanitation engineering.
• Proficient with EPANET, WaterGEMS and Civil 3D.
• Strong knowledge of SA water resource management and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to manage projects and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design water supply networks, treatment plants and wastewater systems.
• Perform hydraulic modeling to optimize performance.
• Prepare design documents, specifications, tender docs and construction plans.
• Manage construction phase ensuring adherence to specs and quality standards.
• Engage with municipal authorities and stakeholders for compliance and success.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in water and wastewater infrastructure.
