The position requires a Civil/Environmental Engineering degree with a water resources focus and at least four years of relevant experience, plus proficiency with hydraulic modeling tools and CAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a focus on water resources.
• At least 4 years of experience in the design and management of water, wastewater, or stormwater systems.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (EPANET, InfoWorks ICM) and CAD.
• Understanding of South African water quality standards and environmental legislation.
• Experience working with municipal clients or on public sector projects is preferred for this Welkom-based role.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize water supply networks, including pipelines, pumping stations, and storage facilities.
• Develop and implement wastewater treatment and disposal strategies.
• Analyze and design stormwater management systems, including flood control measures.
• Conduct hydraulic modeling and feasibility studies for water-related infrastructure projects.
• Ensure designs comply with environmental regulations and public health standards.
• Collaborate with municipal officials, environmental agencies, and construction teams on project implementation and maintenance.
