Placements24 seeks a skilled Civil Engineer specializing in water resources to lead design and management of water supply, wastewater, and stormwater projects in Rustenburg. You will conduct hydrological studies, oversee infrastructure development, and ensure compliance with environmental standards.

You will work with regulatory bodies and environmental scientists to advance sustainable water resources, using EPANET/HEC-RAS for modeling and analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with Water Resources specialization.
• ECSA Pr.Eng registration or strong candidacy.
• 7+ years in the design/management of water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Proficiency in hydraulics, hydrology and water quality management.
• Experience with EPANET, HEC-RAS or similar hydraulic modeling tools.
• Knowledge of South African water legislation and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage potable water supply, distribution, and wastewater systems.
• Conduct hydrological studies and flood risk assessments for stormwater plans.
• Oversee construction and maintenance of water infrastructure per specs and regs.
• Prepare detailed reports, drawings, and project documentation for water projects.
• Collaborate with environmental scientists and regulators for sustainable water resources.
• Utilize hydraulic modeling software for system analysis and design.
