Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Water Resources Engineer to join the team in Soweto, focusing on planning, design, and management of water and wastewater infrastructure. The role covers water supply systems, treatment plants, and stormwater management within South Africa.

The ideal candidate brings strong hydrology and hydraulics knowledge along with project management capabilities to deliver essential infrastructure projects for the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources.
• 4–6 years of experience in water resources engineering and infrastructure design.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (HEC-RAS, SWMM) and CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement water supply, distribution, and wastewater collection and treatment systems.
• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analyses for stormwater management and flood control projects.
• Prepare detailed designs, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for water infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, water quality standards, and South African legislation.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
• Collaborate with government agencies, clients, and stakeholders on water resource management initiatives.
