Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Civil Design Engineer with a Water Resources focus to join our Bloemfontein team. You will plan, design, and implement water infrastructure projects including dams, pipelines, water treatment plants, and wastewater systems to ensure sustainable water supply for communities in the Free State.

You will work on hydraulic modeling, detailed drawings, and tender documents, collaborating with environmental scientists to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications

BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering, focus on Water Resources or Environmental Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure design.
Pr.Eng. or Pr.Tech Eng. registration with ECSA preferred.
Proficiency in hydraulic modeling and design software (EPANET, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD Civil 3D).

Responsibilities

Design water and wastewater infrastructure including pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities.
Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis for water networks and stormwater.
Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
Perform site assessments and provide construction-phase engineering support.
Ensure designs meet environmental regulations and SANS standards.
