Placements24 seeks a hands-on Warehouse Operations Lead to guide daily activities at the George, Western Cape facility. You will lead a team of warehouse staff, ensure safe handling of goods, oversee receiving, put-away, picking, packing and shipping, and drive continuous improvements.

The role requires 5+ years in warehouse operations with a proven leadership record, knowledge of WMS and inventory control, and a proactive approach to safety and quality in the Western Cape.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Logistics/Business Management diploma preferred.
• 5+ years in warehouse operations with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a warehouse team.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management, inventory control and safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct daily warehouse activities to ensure productivity and standards.
• Oversee receiving, put-away, picking, packing and shipping processes.
• Enforce health and safety regulations on site in George.
• Monitor inventory and perform cycle counts and audits.
• Train, mentor and evaluate warehouse staff to maintain performance.
• Manage operation and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
• Identify improvements and implement solutions for better performance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe warehouse environment.
