Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking an experienced logistics and supply chain professional with a strong background in WMS, forwarding, fleet management, and warehousing. The role requires a track record of leading large teams, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and auditing standards.

The ideal candidate will hold a Logistics and Supply Chain degree, Matric, and at least 10 years in warehousing/logistics, with demonstrated ability to manage budgets and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) and a Logistics/SC degree are required.
• 5 years experience on WMS Systems.
• 5 years Clearing and forwarding experience.
• 3 years fleet and transportation management.
• 10 years warehousing and logistics experience.
• 3 years bond store and collateral management experience.
• 5 years food and health and safety experience with auditing background.
• Strong leadership to manage large teams and monitor performance.
• Ability to communicate clearly and drive corrective actions to meet objectives.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and provide admin support for strategy projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate warehousing, logistics and supply chain activities.
• Monitor performance, report at all levels and implement corrective actions.
• Lead large teams and ensure safety and compliance standards.
• Align stakeholders and provide admin support for strategy rollout.
• Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate budget processes and financial reporting.

• 5 years experience on WMS Systems
• 5 years Clearing and forwarding experience
• 3 Years experience Fleet and transportation management
• 10 years relevant experience in warehousing and Logistics
• 3 years Bond store and collateral management experience
• 5 years Food and Heath and safely experience, with background in Auditing
• Management of Lage complex teams
• Ability to manage, align, monitor and report on performance at all levels within the business, while identifying and taking appropriate corrective action to ensure the achievement of objectives
• Ability to verbally exchange information and ideas in a clear and concise manner ensuring understanding and appropriate responses
• Ability to apply commercial focused project management principles in developing and implementing best practice solutions
• Ability to develop and maintain professional and positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders through demonstrating an understanding and responsiveness to their needs, culture and differences
• Ability to provide effective administrative support in the roll out of strategy related projects
• Ability to provide effective administrative support to the Business Units and its stakeholders
