Job summary

Green Marble Recruitment Consultants is seeking a seasoned Warehouse Manager to oversee end-to-end warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of finished goods. You will ensure inventory accuracy, security, cycle counts and valuation integrity while leading a team of 20+ staff.

You will plan outbound distribution, coordinate with third-party transporters and clearing agents, and drive on-time, in-full delivery performance.

Qualifications

• 5-6 years minimum experience in warehouse management.
• Proven experience managing 20+ direct reports.
• Experience managing high-value finished goods inventory.

Responsibilities

• Direct receiving, put away, storage, picking, packing, loading and dispatch of finished goods.
• Maintain inventory accuracy, security and valuation integrity with cycle counts.
• Plan outbound distribution and manage transporters and clearing agents.
• Lead and develop a warehouse and logistics team of 20+ employees.
• Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act in the relevant area.
• Manage departmental budget and monthly reporting on inventory, delivery and safety.
• Maintain ERP data integrity and drive continuous improvement in layout and processes.

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Degree or Diploma.


• 5-6 years minimum experience in warehouse management.


• Proven experience managing over 20+ direct reports.


• Experience managing high-value finished goods inventory.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Directing the receipt of finished product from production through to put away, storage, picking, packing, loading and dispatch.


• Owning finished goods and service item inventory accuracy, security and valuation integrity, including cycle counting and wall-to-wall stock counts.


• Reconciling production declarations against warehouse receipts and resolving variances to root cause.


• Planning outbound distribution, managing third-party transporters and clearing agents, and driving on-time, in-full delivery performance.


• Leading, developing and managing the performance of a warehouse and logistics team of 20 or more employees.


• Discharging the duties of a manager under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 in the area of responsibility.


• Managing the departmental budget and reporting monthly on inventory, delivery and safety performance.


• Maintaining ERP data integrity and driving continuous improvement in warehouse layout, process flow and documentation.
