About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Warehouse Inventory Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory levels at their facility in **Paarl, Western Cape**. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory control principles, experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize stock errors. This position is critical for maintaining operational efficiency in the **Paarl** region and supporting the broader supply chain operations. Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure stock accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Implement and adhere to inventory control procedures and best practices.
• Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory, and report findings.
• Assist in the receiving and put-away process to ensure accurate initial stock recording.
• Track and manage returns and damaged goods, ensuring proper disposition.
• Support the picking and packing process by verifying quantities and locations.
• Generate inventory-related reports for management review.
• Contribute to process improvements aimed at enhancing inventory accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

• Previous experience (2+ years) in warehouse inventory control, stock management, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and data entry.
• Strong understanding of inventory control principles, cycle counting, and stocktaking procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills for reporting and issue resolution.
• Experience within the **Paarl, Western Cape** area is beneficial.
• A high school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in inventory management are a plus.
