Job summary

Abantu Staffing Solutions (Pty) Ltd is supporting a client in the automotive manufacturing sector in recruiting a Warehouse and Distribution Manager in the Western Cape. The role focuses on optimizing warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, packing and dispatch, and leading a supervisory team.

The ideal candidate will hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Warehouse Management/Distribution/Logistics, with 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing

Qualifications

• Diploma in Warehouse Management/ Distribution/ Logistics (NQF 6) required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Warehouse Management/ Distribution/ Logistics (NQF 7) advantageous.
• 5 years’ experience in warehouse or distribution/logistics in manufacturing, up to 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Computer literacy (MS Office Suite and other relevant software).
• Strong planning, problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse operations: receiving, storage, packing and dispatch.
• Oversee stock control, stocktakes, reconciliations and variance investigations.
• Coordinate distribution planning, export packing and third-party logistics.
• Ensure compliance with SHE, quality, security and procedures.
• Lead, develop and supervise warehouse staff.
• Monitor budgets, control costs and drive operational efficiencies.
