Job summary

MyCareerCraft is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Operations Manager to run an efficient, compliant and cost-controlled warehouse and distribution operation in Cape Town. The role requires a Diploma in Warehouse Management / Distribution / Logistics and significant experience in manufacturing logistics, including supervisory responsibility.

You will lead receiving, storage, packing and dispatch, optimise space, ensure accurate stock through counts and reconciliations, and manage regulatory

Qualifications

• Diploma in Warehouse Management / Distribution / Logistics (NQF 6).
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5 years' warehouse or distribution/logistics experience in a manufacturing environment, incl. supervisory
• Solid knowledge of warehousing and distribution processes, stock control and inventory reconciliation.
• Experience with export goods and documentation and with 4PL logistics providers.
• Knowledge of SHE, ISO and hazardous materials storage requirements.
• Computer literate (MS Office and warehouse/inventory systems).
• Strong leadership, planning, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage receiving, storage, packing and dispatch to meet customer demand.
• Ensure accurate stock levels through cycle counts, reconciliations and variance investigations.
• Manage export packing and all goods-out documentation.
• Optimise warehouse layout and space, and maintain high security standards.
• Ensure SHE and regulatory compliance, including safe storage of hazardous materials.
• Manage, appraise and develop the warehouse team.
• Control costs and expenditure against budget.
• Coordinate daily planning and deliveries with logistics partners.
