Job summary

The President Hotel in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to lead our high-volume breakfast operation. You’ll be visible on the floor, coordinating sections, guiding the team and ensuring guest satisfaction from start to finish.

Applicants should have a background in busy 4- or 5-star hotel dining, with strong leadership, floor-management, and service recovery skills. Weekend and early shifts are required, with supportive management and opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in a restaurant supervisory/leadership role in a high-volume setting.
• Experience in 4- or 5-star hotel restaurant environments is advantageous.
• Experience managing high-volume breakfast service is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Restaurant Manager with day-to-day breakfast operation management.
• Lead from the floor, staying visible and approachable throughout service.
• Conduct pre-service briefings and assign sections to ensure coverage.
• Supervise waitrons, hosts and restaurant team during breakfast service.
• Monitor guest arrivals, seating, and service flow during peak periods.
• Collaborate with Kitchen to ensure smooth front- and back-of-house communication.
• Ensure buffet presentation, availability, cleanliness and replenishment.
• Deliver accurate à la carte orders within service times.
