Job summary

The President Hotel in Cape Town seeks a proactive Breakfast Supervisor to lead front-of-house operations and ensure a seamless, high-standard breakfast service. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager and Kitchen team to maintain a flawless guest experience each morning.

Responsibilities

• Support the Restaurant Manager with day-to-day breakfast operation
• Lead from the floor to ensure smooth service flow
• Conduct pre-service briefings and allocate sections
• Supervise waitstaff and hosts during breakfast
• Coordinate with kitchen for smooth front/back of house operations
• Monitor breakfast buffet for presentation, cleanliness and replenishment
• Ensure à la carte breakfast orders are delivered accurately and on time
• Handle guest concerns with professional service recovery
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety
• Assist with staff attendance and shift allocation
• Support stock control and manage wastage
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to anticipate occupancy and guest needs
• Contribute to training and performance management of team members
• Ensure professional presentation and cleanliness of service areas
• Drive continuous improvements to service efficiency and guest experience
• Ensure final clearing, resetting and preparation after breakfast
