Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Practitioner to join our on-site team in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will provide direct support, counseling, and case management to individuals facing mental health challenges in the local community.

The role requires empathetic, resilient professionals with strong understanding of mental health recovery models and the ability to work closely with local health professionals to promote wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Provide direct counseling and support to individuals with mental health challenges.
• Develop recovery and support plans tailored to each client.
• Conduct mental health assessments and identify client needs.
• Facilitate access to therapy, psychiatry, and community services.
• Carry out crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed.
• Maintain confidential case records and progress notes.
• Collaborate with families and other healthcare professionals.
• Advocate for clients' rights within the healthcare system.

Responsibilities
