Job summary

Pollock and Associates in Johannesburg is seeking a hands-on technician for a permanent role starting November 2026. You will monitor water and metering systems, record readings and inspect infrastructure for faults or leaks, performing basic maintenance and small repairs.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 is required.

This permanent role suits a practical technician who enjoys hands-on work across water, electrical and metering systems. You will monitor consumption, record meter readings, inspect infrastructure for faults and leaks and carry out basic maintenance and minor repairs.

You will log and elevate service failures, assist with meter installations, replacements and testing, support contractors during repairs and shutdowns, and keep accurate records and service logs. Safe working practices and PPE compliance are central to the role.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12
• Technical qualification in electrical, plumbing or mechanical

Experience

• 2 to 4 years in utilities, maintenance or building services

Technical Skills

• Working knowledge of water, electrical and metering systems
