Placements24 seeks a meticulous Mine Surveyor to support underground mining operations in Centurion, Gauteng. You will map underground workings, establish survey control, and ensure compliance with mine plans using advanced surveying tools.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Degree in Mine Surveying or Geomatics.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Mine Surveyor with underground mining exposure.
• Proficiency with Total Stations, GPS and laser scanners; experience with Surpac/AutoCAD.
• Strong attention to detail; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct underground surveys to establish survey control and map mine excavations.
• Monitor and record mine advance, subsidence, and ground movement using specialized equipment.
• Prepare and maintain mine plans, sections, and 3D models of underground workings.
• Calibrate and maintain survey instruments for accuracy.
• Assist engineers in setting out underground tunnels, stopes and structures.
• Process and analyze survey data and produce reports for planning and operations.
