Job summary

Innovation Advance Group in Johannesburg is seeking a Travel Architect to own the entire client journey, from initial enquiry to final handover. You will craft itineraries across Africa for discerning travellers from the USA, UK, Europe and Australia, delivering extraordinary experiences with precision and personal touch.

You will lead discovery calls, design multi-country routes, build compelling proposals, and manage supplier bookings, FOREX, ROE and travel packs, staying calm under numbers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of inbound luxury FIT consulting experience.
• A proven record designing multi-country Africa itineraries.
• Excellent written and spoken communication, with a warm, polished tone.
• A sharp eye for detail and real commercial awareness (margins, FOREX, supplier terms).
• The ability to own a full sales cycle and convert enquiries into bookings.
• Comfort in a CRM (HubSpot preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design like an artist. Shape routes, pacing and experiences across Southern and East Africa, from bush to coast and everywhere in between.

A respected luxury travel brand is looking for a Travel Architect: a senior, client-facing creator who owns the whole journey. You'll take it from the very first \"we've always wanted to see Africa\" enquiry to the handwritten postcard after they're home. Your clients are discerning travellers from the USA, UK, Europe and Australia. They expect the extraordinary, and you'll be the one who delivers it.

What you'll actually do

• Listen first. Run discovery calls and video chats that uncover what your guests really want (and what they didn't know they wanted).


• Design like an artist. Shape routes, pacing and experiences across Southern and East Africa, from bush to coast and everywhere in between.


• Build proposals that wow. Polished, pin-sharp quotes with good/better/best options, because details matter and pricing accuracy is non-negotiable.


• Run the show. Oversee supplier bookings, invoicing, FOREX and ROE, release dates and travel packs, all with a calm head for the numbers.


• Be their person on the ground. When plans wobble, you're the first call and the steady hand that makes it right.


• Make it unforgettable. Surprise, delight, follow up, and turn happy guests into lifelong clients and loyal advocates.
