Job summary

Clinix Naledi Nkanyezi Private Hospital in Sebokeng is seeking a dedicated nurse with casualty/trauma experience to lead a unit and deliver high-quality patient care. You will supervise a team, ensure protocol adherence, and collaborate with doctors in an emergency department setting.

The role requires SANC registration, nursing qualification, and leadership in a private hospital environment, with focus on newborn care and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in General Nursing.
• Current registration with South African Nursing Council.
• 3 years Casualty/Trauma unit experience.
• BLS qualification and updated ACLS/PALS/ATLS advantageous.
• Previous experience in a private hospital environment advantageous.
• Computer Proficiency advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, organize, lead and control work for self and team to ensure efficient completion of tasks.
• Provide round the clock care to premature and severely ill newborns.
• Document patient care services by charting inpatient and department records and updating care plans as needed.
• Conduct structured ward rounds with Doctors to create and evaluate care plans.
• Monitor nursing activities to ensure compliance with protocols and safety.
• Drive reduction in healthcare associated infections.
• Participate actively during resuscitation when necessary.

Skills

Casualty/Trauma experience

BLS qualification

ACLS/PALS/ATLS advantageous

Computer Proficiency advantageous

Education
