As a key member of the Trauma Unit, you will provide and supervise quality nursing care, ensure compliance with professional and ethical standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes, safety and operational excellence.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress while ensuring optimal clinical outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Promote patient safety and infection prevention best practices.
  • Support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with stock management, case management and efficient resource utilisation.
  • Coach and mentor junior nursing staff.
  • Assist with staff development and on‑the‑job training.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, ethical and patient‑focused clinical environment.
  • Support initiatives that enhance patient satisfaction and service excellence.
What You'll Bring
  • General Nursing Degree or Diploma.
  • Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
  • Previous experience working within a Trauma Department.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and technical nursing skills.
  • Sound understanding of professional nursing practice and healthcare legislation.
