SciTech Placements client in Durban seeks a highly organised Transport Parts Store Controller to oversee the store operations for transport parts in KZN. You will manage stock records, coordinate procurement, and liaise with workshop and procurement teams to ensure smooth day-to-day running.

Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Transport Parts Store Controller to oversee all aspects of the transport parts store operation based Durban, KZN

The successful candidate will be responsible for stock control, inventory management, parts procurement, supplier liaison, and ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the stores department. A strong understanding of transport, fleet, or commercial vehicle parts is essential, together with experience in parts ordering and maintaining accurate stock levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all transport parts store operations.
• Maintain accurate stock control and inventory records.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure the timely replenishment of parts.
• Source and order transport and fleet-related parts from approved suppliers.
• Conduct regular stock counts and investigate stock variances.
• Accurately process goods received and goods issued.
• Ensure the stores department is organised, secure, and compliant with company policies and procedures.
• Liaise with workshop, fleet, and procurement teams regarding parts requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting relating to stock movements.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience as a Store Controller, Parts Controller, or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of transport, fleet, truck, trailer, or commercial vehicle parts.
• Proven experience in stock control and inventory management.
• Computer literacy with experience using stock management systems.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.

• Basic salary: R18,000 – R20,000 per month
