Job summary

Melanie Coetzer is seeking a highly organised Transport Parts Store Controller in Durban, KZN to oversee the transport parts store operation. The role focuses on stock control, inventory management, and parts procurement to support a busy transport operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience as Store Controller or Parts Controller.
• Strong knowledge of transport/fleet/truck parts.
• Proven stock control and inventory management experience.
• Computer literacy with stock management systems.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.

Responsibilities

• Manage all transport parts store operations.
• Maintain accurate stock control and inventory records.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of parts.
• Source and order transport and fleet parts from approved suppliers.
• Conduct regular stock counts and investigate variances.
• Process goods received and goods issued accurately.
• Ensure the stores department is organised, secure, and compliant with policies.
• Liaise with workshop, fleet, and procurement teams on parts requirements.
• Maintain documentation and reporting on stock movements.
