Job summary

Charm Recruitment Agency is seeking a Logistics Controller to manage loading instructions, client communications, and daily tracking. You will ensure timely confirmation of loading dates with the Operations Manager, pass data to Accounts for file creation, and escalate any issues over the weekend to the Manager on duty.

Strong communication is essential. Requires a valid driver’s license and basic computer literacy; you will maintain professional email follow-ups for all discussions with clients

Responsibilities

• Email loading details to clients and confirm loading dates in agreement with Operations Manager.
• Pass information to Accounts to create load file and verify loading instructions.
• Email loading instructions to transporter after sign‑off by Controller and Operations Manager.
• Perform daily tracking and Operations daily reports; handle customs documents.
• Manage weekend duties to ensure smooth operations and escalate issues to the Manager on duty when plans deviate.
• Record pre-alerts into the load file and maintain clear WhatsApp/Email communications with clients.

Job description

As controllers you will have loads available as per clients allocated to you. The Operations Manager has the responsibility of ensuring that you have a truck for that load. As controllers you will send out an email on a daily basis reminding the Operations Manager of your requirements.

Sending of Details To Clients

Will be the controller''s responsibility. Confirming loading date as per agreement with Operations Manager.

Load File

Controller is responsible for passing on information to Accounts for the file to be created

Controller will check that the loading instruction is correct.

Controller to email loading instruction to Transporter after Controller and Operations Manager has signed it off.

Follow Ups & Updates

Daily Tracking

Operations Daily Report

Customs Documents

Controller is responsible for putting pre alerts into the load file.

Weekend Duties

Follow up and ensure smooth running of operations over the weekend

Immediately upscale to Manager on duty any issues. Once plans have not gone according to agreement in the handover meeting Controller is to escalat

WhatsApp Communication

Emails

All telephone discussions with clients to be followed up on mail confirming discussion.
