Empowered People Solutions (Pty) Ltd in Johannesburg is seeking a Dispatch Controller for the JHB - Eastern Suburbs. You will coordinate truck dispatch, monitor drivers, and ensure accuracy of delivery notes and licenses while maintaining constant communication with drivers and internal teams.

The role requires 2–4 years in dispatch/logistics, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of relevant dispatch/logistics experience preferred.
• Experience in fleet management or dispatch operations.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Dispatching of all trucks in a timeous manner.
• Ensure drivers collect at the correct factories.
• Ensure drivers deliver at the correct address.
• Ensure that delivery notes are complete for customer sign-off.
• Report any incidents or accidents to your supervisor immediately.
• Maintain constant communication with drivers.
• Track trucks using the company tracking system until parked.
• Oversee truck and trailer maintenance.
• Ensure licenses for trucks and trailers are up to date.
• Ensure related administration is up to date.
• Ensure trucks and trailers are washed at least every 2 weeks.
• Complete truck inspections at least twice weekly.

Job Vacancy: Dispatch Controller

Location: JHB - Eastern SuburbsReporting to: Transport ManagerSeniority Level: Mid Career (2 - 4 yrs exp)Type: Permanent

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Dispatching of all trucks in a timeous manner.
• Ensuring that the drivers collect at the correct factories.
• Ensuring that the drivers deliver at the correct address.
• Ensuring that all relevant information is stipulated on the delivery notes for the customer to sign.
• Any incidents or accidents need to be reported to your superior immediately.
• Constantly communicating with drivers.
• Tracking of trucks using company tracking system. Must track vehicles until the last truck is parked.
• All truck & trailer maintenance.
• Ensuring that the drivers licenses are up to date at all times.
• Ensuring that the trucks and trailers licenses are up to date at all times.
• Ensuring that all related admin is up to date at all times.
• Ensuring that the truck and trailer is washed at least every 2 weeks.
• Truck inspections to be completed a minimum of 2 times a week.
