Zusammenfassung

SA Metal Group (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Burner to support the Production division by cutting steel products with a cutting torch. You will cut steel for re-melting, maintain tools, and ensure equipment is safe and compliant with OHSA and company policies.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, teamwork, and willingness to learn, with shift and overtime availability as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Relevant experience as a burner is advantageous.
• Excellent knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
• Good knowledge of cutting safety procedures and equipment.
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime.
• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety rules.

Aufgaben

• Cut variety of steel for re-melting purposes.
• Maintenance and checking of cutting tools.
• Ensure equipment is in good, safe and working order.
• Follow correct procedure before cutting hazardous material identified.
• Maintain safe working procedures at all times.
• Abide by the regulations as set out in the O.H.S.A. and company policies.
