Job summary

Qualifications

• Matric with Maths is required.
• 2+ years of experience in a similar metals/machining environment preferred.
• Must hold valid licenses for Excavator, Grab, FEL and Forklift.
• Sound understanding of safety rules and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Operate various mobile machinery in the meltshop as per shift instructions.
• Blend scrap and control melting parameters within specifications.
• Monitor charging and melting processes and ensure quality checks.
• Inspect equipment and report malfunctions promptly.
• Conduct daily site inspections and maintain safe working conditions.
• Assist with handovers and comply with OHSA and company policies.
• Support a proactive, safety‑driven work environment.
