Placements24 is seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst specializing in Threat Intelligence in Pretoria, Gauteng. The role encompasses monitoring TI feeds, OSINT, and dark web sources to identify threats and provide actionable insights.

A hybrid work arrangement combines remote work with in-office collaboration in Pretoria. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in cybersecurity, strong analytical and reporting skills, and familiarity with TIPs and SIEM tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, international relations or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of cybersecurity experience with a focus on threat intelligence.
• Able to collect, analyze and interpret threat data from diverse sources.
• Experience with TIPs and SIEM tools.
• Strong knowledge of threat landscapes, malware analysis and attack vectors.
• Excellent analytical, research and report-writing skills.
• Ability to communicate complex tech info clearly.
• Experience in a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze threat intelligence feeds, OSINT, and dark web for emerging threats.
• Identify, track and profile threat actors, TTPs.
• Develop and maintain threat intelligence reports and briefings for stakeholders.
• Provide actionable intelligence to incident response, SOC and IT teams.
• Research specific threats, vulnerabilities and malware.
• Contribute to threat detection and prevention capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to integrate threat intel into security operations.
• Stay current with geopolitical events and their impact on cybersecurity.
