Placements24 seeks an Information Security Specialist focusing on Threat Intelligence to proactively identify and analyze cyber threats affecting operations and clients. This fully remote role within South Africa emphasizes translating intelligence into actionable protections and communicating complex threats clearly.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in cybersecurity with threat intel experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with intel platforms and OSINT tools.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years in cybersecurity with threat intelligence focus.
• Experience analyzing threat intel sources and data types.
• Strong understanding of threat actor methodologies, malware analysis, and network security.
• Proficiency with threat intel platforms and OSINT tools.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor global threat intel feeds, OSINT sources, and dark web forums.
• Identify, track, and report on APTs, malware campaigns, and cyber-criminal activities.
• Analyze adversary TTPs and develop defensive strategies and recommendations.
• Produce timely, actionable threat intel reports for SecOps and senior management.
• Develop and maintain threat models relevant to our client industry and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with SecOps and IR teams to integrate threat intel into workflows.
• Utilize threat intel platforms to enhance analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Stay current with cybersecurity trends, geopolitics, and emerging tech.
