Placements24 is seeking a sharp Threat Intelligence Analyst in Sandton to identify, analyze and contextualize cyber threats, and to advise on defensive measures. You will gather data from open-source and proprietary feeds and produce actionable intelligence for security teams.

You will integrate insights into incident response, risk management and security operations, and contribute to shaping the organization’s proactive security posture through clear reporting and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Intelligence Studies, or a related field.
• 2+ years in threat intelligence, cybersecurity analysis, or a related security role.
• Strong understanding of the cyber threat landscape, attack vectors, and threat actor methodologies.
• Proficiency in using threat intelligence platforms, OSINT tools, and data analysis techniques.
• Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and synthesize threat intelligence from various open-source and proprietary sources.
• Identify and track threat actors, their TTPs, and motivations.
• Develop and disseminate timely and actionable threat intelligence reports to relevant stakeholders.
• Integrate threat intelligence into security operations, incident response, and risk management processes.
• Maintain and develop tools and platforms for threat intelligence collection and analysis.
• Provide strategic insights into emerging threats and recommend defensive strategies.
