Placements24 in Randburg seeks an Information Security Analyst specialized in threat intelligence to join our security team. You will collect, analyze, and report on cyber threats to enable proactive defense and informed decision-making.

You will track threats, develop intelligence reports, and collaborate with operations to embed insights into detection and response. This is a hybrid role with growth opportunities and a collaborative security culture.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in threat intelligence analysis or similar role.
• Strong understanding of cyber threat landscapes, malware analysis, and attacker methodologies.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and data sources.
• Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and disseminate threat intelligence from open-source, commercial, and government feeds.
• Identify and track threat actors, their TTPs.
• Develop threat models and intelligence reports to inform security strategies.
• Monitor the dark web and other sources for threats and IOIs.
• Collaborate with security operations to integrate threat intelligence into detection and response.
• Provide briefings and analysis on current and emerging cyber threats to stakeholders.
