About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Cyber Security Analyst with a specialization in Threat Intelligence to join their growing security operations center in Durban . Your insights will directly contribute to proactive defense strategies, helping to protect critical systems and sensitive data. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret threat intelligence data from various sources, including open-source intelligence (OSINT), commercial feeds, and government alerts.
• Develop actionable intelligence reports and briefings for security teams and management, highlighting potential risks and recommended mitigation strategies.
• Monitor global threat landscapes for emerging attack vectors, malware campaigns, and advanced persistent threats (APTs) relevant to the organization's industry.
• Support incident response activities by providing context and attribution for security events.
• Develop and maintain threat models and profiles of relevant threat actors.
• Collaborate with internal teams to integrate threat intelligence into security operations, including SIEM rule tuning and security control enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Intelligence Studies, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in threat intelligence analysis , cyber threat hunting, or security operations.
• Strong understanding of malware analysis, network protocols, attack methodologies, and threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Proficiency with threat intelligence platforms and data analysis tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly.
